A lil update
Hiallooowwwww~
Yes yes I know, it's been more than a month since I last posted anything... ^^" Can't help it... Been really lazy and kindda busy having too much fun XD.
As most of you might have known, I went back to NZ for a holiday few weeks ago.
The trip overall was pretty good. The experience itself was quite new to me. I've never had to plan for a trip that lasted more than a day. This time, it was 12 days and 11 nights (okok... Jon planned for most of the things... But I helped a lil ;p).
What I'm trying to say is... It is really different from travelling with your family or with a tour group. Most trips I've been on, everything has been planned for you; where to go, how to go, what to eat, where to sleep, by what time we have to get there, etc.
This time, I had to navigate our way around and let me tell you it is not a very easy job. I don't know how many times I've cursed the map or road when it didn't match what I was expecting... Everytime lunch/dinner time came we would have ALOT of trouble deciding where to eat. And even if we did plan for where we should go, nothing ever went according to plan. But I guess that's the fun of travelling. Or maybe that's just one of life's greatest lesson - most things don't work out as planned.... :p
One of the most annoying thing I found this trip was how annoying, and inconvenient it can be to look for a car park. Our car was towed on the first day, approximately 5 hours after we first received the keys because we didn't take notice of the clearway sign. What a way to start the trip... After that incident, we took extreme care to read all the signs, notices, parking meters, yellow lines to prevent similar incidents from happening again. We were all very paranoid after that. Everytime we walk back to our car, we would check if our car was still at that same spot, and once we got close to our car, we would check if there were any slips tucked under our wiper. Luckily (or not so luckily), we didn't have to go through the same experience again for the rest of the trip.
But overall, the trip was awsome and I wanna do it again =D I don't think I'll be blogging about the trip (due to my laziness to upload pictures...). But check out Jon's blog to know about it~
Here are some of the pics that we took (less than 1% of the total pics that we took :p)...
